Father Long Hai Do

Letter of Introduction

Joining us on July 1, 2024

My dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

My name is Father Long Hai Do. I was born on February 10, 1976, in Saigon, Vietnam. In 1989, I escaped Vietnam and came to settle with my family in Denver, Colorado.

I was ordained to the priesthood by Bishop James Van Johnston, Jr. on June 5, 2010. I served at St. Agnes Cathedral in Springfield, Missouri from June 2011 to June 2014. Then, from July 2014 to June 2017, I served at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Houston, Texas. After that, I moved to Florida and served at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Deerfield Beach, FL until June 2023. Last year, beginning of July 1, 2023: I moved from Florida to Colorado Springs and served at St. Mary's Cathedral. After serving at St. Mary's Cathedral for one year, Bishop James Golka assigns me to Divine Redeemer Church and serve as a parochial vicar along with Father Jason Keas. Also, I am assigned as the Administrator of the Vietnamese Holy Martyrs Church.

With that in mind, I would like to ask for your prayers and support while I am serving at Divine Redeemer Church. My priestly motto is taken from a thought of Saint Mother Teresa of Calcutta: "Give them Jesus!" May I learn to imitate the Blessed Mother to offer Jesus to all of you just as She had offered Jesus to her cousin Elizabeth (Lk 1:39-45).

May our merciful Lord Jesus and the Blessed Mother use me as their instrument so that I am able to make this new chapter of my life with you as a Christian and for you as a Priest. Amen!

Sincerely yours in the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Our Lady of Fatima,

Rev. Long Hai Do
